Take a look at the odds for the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ to find out who is most likely to die first in the last six episodes…
Winter is coming … I know it’s cliche, but it’s true. We are rolling into autumn and winter is just around the bend. That means we are on the cusp of the 8th and final season of Game of Thrones. Kit Harington (Jon Snow) recently spoke of reading the script, and he stated: “I mean, when I read it … some of the parts of it I’d get, and other parts of it were just completely shocking and surprising.” So we can rest assured that there will be plenty of crazy twists and turns in the plot with jaw-dropping moments that leave us wide-eyed and shocked.
One of the best things to come out laterally out of GOT is the death pools. Whether you are completely making your own for Game of Thrones parties or using legitimate GOT dead pool odds from top betting sites, it is a fun element to add to each episode.
Who Will Be First To Die?
Yara Greyjoy leads the pack as the first to die with odds of +250 or 2.5 to 1. Daughter of Balon Greyjoy and princess of the Iron Islands … Given the fact that she isn’t meant to be a villain, there is a lot to dislike about her character. She’s not a terror like Joffrey or Ramsay, but she’s rude, egotistical and just kind of an all-around @$$hole. But that isn’t why she is leading the list of characters to be the first to die. You have to couple it with the fact that she is fairly expendable to the storyline as well. Also, the last we saw of her, she was kidnapped by her sadistic uncle.
Theon Greyjoy & The Mountain are both listed at +500 (5 to 1) to be the first to get the ax in season 8. Intrigue sets surrounding the Greyjoys because there are just so many possibilities. Theon is on his way to go rescue his captive sister, which puts all three Greyjoys in harm’s way. Does Theon kill Euron and rescue his sister? Or does Euron Kill Yara to spite Theon? Or does Euron kill Theon in a rescue attempt? Or … you see how many avenues the writers have with this situation.
As far as Gregor Clegane or The Mountain is concerned, he was a murderous, blood-lusting sadist before he became the undead… whatever he is now. As Cersei’s personal bodyguard/hitman it would make sense that The Mountain has to go before Cersei can be dispatched of. The Mountain’s own brother, The Hound seems the most likely candidate to do the deed, but that remains to be seen because Gregor is still on Arya’s list as well.
Euron Grejoy is 4th in line to be brutally murdered in Westeros at +800 (8 to 1). We don’t have to go into Euron too much here because we already explored a few possibilities above. What could be interesting for death pool parties is a Greyjoys against the field line. You could set it with a slightly negative return like -140 for any of the three Greyjoys to be killed off first.
Bronn, The Hound, and Tormund Giantsbane all come in at +1000 (10 to 1). Though maybe not popular, The Hound is one of the most interesting characters, and if a collision with his big brother The Mountain is imminent, he could end up on the losing end of the battle. Meanwhile, Tormund is manning the ice wall as the army of undead show up, and we see Daenerys’ slain dragon, Viserion, take down the wall. Does he survive this ordeal? The leader of the Free Folk is definitely in the most immediate peril, considering Bronn was left walking away from the parlay at the Dragon Pit with Podrick.
Longer Odds
Gendry, Jorah Mormont +1400
Davos Seaworth, Brienne of Tarth +1600
The Knight King, Cersei, Jamie Lannister +2000
Varys +2200
Arya Stark +2500
Tyrion Lannister, Sansa Stark +4000
Bran Stark +5000
Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen +10000
Jon Snow is almost everyone’s favorite character, and he seems to be safe for the moment. But there is a part deep inside that thinks it would be funny to see the look on everyone’s faces if he got taken out early, especially after all the revelations regarding his true identity.
