The first look at “Mayans M.C.” season 3 has arrived as the Santo Padre chapter appears to be at odds with the other factions and that could lead to a war…
When “Mayans M.C.” season 2 came to an end, it was the end of some chapters but just the beginning of many others.
EZ Reyes finally got revenge for the death of his mother after Dita Galindo confessed to ordering the hit that got her killed. Dita’s own struggles after confessing to the crime led to her self-sacrifice while allowing EZ to kill her to settle an eye for an eye.
Of course before Dita died she also told Felipe Reyes that he was actually Miguel Galindo’s biological father as a result of their affair. While EZ staged Dita’s murder to look like a suicide, Marcus Alvarez noticed some motorcycle tire tracks leading away from the scene, which could bring Miguel hunting for whoever killed his mother — even if that means going after his own half-brother.
Meanwhile, the Mayans Santo Padre chapter were attempting to help secure the gun trade that was being handed over to them by the Sons of Anarchy in the wake of Jax Teller’s death several years earlier. Sadly, the Mayans were going to be forced to do business with a Mexican club called Vatos Malditos, who had already caused a bloodbath in a back-and-forth battle between the two charters.
Despite an edict being handed down by the entire Mayans organization that the Santo Padre chapter were ordered to make nice with Vatos Malditos, Bishop and the club voted for vengeance after one of their brothers, Riz, was killed during an attack. Of course, Bishop and the rest of the club have no idea that Riz was still alive on life support when Taza killed him in order to likely protect some kind of secret that Vatos Malditos might expose about him.
In the end, the Mayans exacted their revenge by opening fire on a party being held by the Vatos Malditos in Mexico but the entire plan goes awry when the Vatos’ president escapes and they search the house to find one of the dead bodies belongs to a member of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original.
While most believed that dead Son was Montez — a member who had joined SAMCRO back in season 6 after being recruited by Bobby Munson — he appears in the “Mayans M.C.” season 3 trailer, which casts doubts that he really was the victim — or was this possibly a flashback?
Also the new trailer seems to tease the growing tensions between the Santo Padre chapter and the rest of the charters in the Mayans and they seek to lock down this gun trade. Murdering most of the members of Vatos Malditos along with a member of the Sons of Anarchy certainly puts a wrinkle in those plans and it appears Bishop and the rest of the club will have to answer that.
Take a look at the new trailer for “Mayans M.C.” season 3 and get ready for the show to return with a special two-episode premiere on FX on Tuesday night March 16.
