Treme and Nashville actor Michiel Huisman has been added to the cast of Game of Thrones season 4 but who he will play remains a mystery…
Game of Thrones season 4 is in production currently and a new cast member has joined the crew, but the role is being kept under tight wraps.
Michiel Huisman best known for his roles on Nashville and the HBO series Treme will join the season 4 cast in a currently unknown part on the show. HollywoodReporter.com first reported the confirmation.
Game of Thrones producers are keeping a couple of casted roles a mystery as of right now with Huisman being the latest actor added, but without confirmation which part he will be playing.
Rumors have swirled that Huisman will play Styr, Magnar of Thenn, a wilding leader that charges Castle Black as part of Mance Rayder’s forces attempting to dethrone the lords of the seven kingdoms of Westeros.
Sherlock actor Mark Gatiss has also been added to the cast in an unknown role similar to Huisman.
Season 4 of Game of Thrones will advance through A Storm of Swords, the third book of George R.R. Martin’s series, and possibly dip into the fourth book by season’s end.
That leaves a number of possibilities for either actor depending on how close or far the TV producers choose to stay to the source material.
