‘The Returned’ remake from A&E has cast a few more parts for the upcoming season including Kevin Alejandro, who joins the show following stints on popular series such as ‘True Blood’….
A&E and executive producer Carlton Cuse will remake the French horror/drama ‘The Returned’ this year and the cast has now expanded with three new actors being added to the series.
Kevin Alejandro — best known for his role on ‘True Blood’ — will join the cast that will be headlined by former ‘Lost’ star Mark Pellegrino. Also added on Monday were ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’ actress Sophie Lowe as well as ‘Revolution’ regular Mat Vairo.
‘The Returned’ is based on the French series of the same name where a small town in France is rocked as people just start showing up around town who have been dead for many years, looking and acting as if nothing happened as they try to resume their lives with the people they left behind.
Alejandro is set to play Tommy Moran, the town sheriff while Lowe will take the role of Lena, one of the daughters for Pellegrino’s character, Jack. Meanwhile, Vairo will play Simon, a long dead rocker who returns to life during this mystical event.
‘The Returned’ will go into production later this year with a 10 episode order already in place from A&E.
