‘American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson’ has added another cast member, this time in the role of lead attorney Johnnie Cochran…
The new series ‘American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson’ will certainly not be short on star power considering the growing list of cast members joining the FX series from ‘American Horror Story’ creator Ryan Murphy.
In addition to John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr. and David Schwimmer, the show has now added ‘Law and Order’ star Courtney B. Vance to the cast playing lead Simpson attorney Johnnie Cochran. The lawyer led the charge for much of the trial cross examinations and Cochran is famously remembered for his closing statement where he uttered the phrase ‘if it doesn’t fit, you must acquit’ referencing the gloves worn by the murderer that would not fit the hands of his client during the proceedings.
Vance will play the famous attorney as the series alongside Travolta, who plays Robert Shapiro, Schwimmer, who plays Robert Kardashian and Gooding, who plays Simpson himself.
‘American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson’ is based on the book ‘The Run of His Life: The People vs. O.J. Simpson’, which examined the entire case from start to finish and is regarded as one of the best narrations of the subject matter.
