‘American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson’ has added Malcolm Jamal-Warner to the cast as Simpson’s close friend and former teammate Al Cowlings…
One of the most famous parts of the spectacle that was the O.J. Simpson trial in the mid-90’s was the slow motion police chase on the Los Angeles freeways as O.J. Simpson drove back to his house before being arrested and charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
The man who drove the White Bronco that day was Simpson’s former football teammate and friend, Al Cowlings, and it looks like he’ll be represented on the upcoming series ‘American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson’ by Malcolm Jamal-Warner.
Best known for his early role on ‘The Cosby Show’ as well as a recent spot on the final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’, Warner joins the series that already features a star-studded cast including John Travolta, David Schwimmer, Jordana Brewser and Cuba Gooding Jr, who plays Simpson.
Filming for the new series has already started in Los Angeles with a fall debut on FX expected.
