American Horror Story actress Lily Rabe has been cast in the lead role of a new alien invasion series from ABC called ‘The Visitors’….
American Horror Story season 4 won’t return until October, but the show may have already lost one of the most popular recurring actresses because Lily Rabe has accepted a role on the upcoming ABC alien invasion drama The Visitors.
The show based on a Ray Bradbury short story titled ‘Zero Hour’ will focus on humanity’s race to stop a group of unknown and unseen alien invaders from taking over and destroying the world.
Rabe’s casting doesn’t necessarily mean she won’t return for American Horror Story season 4, but if the show gets a commitment from ABC after shooting the pilot there’s a good shot that she would be locked down and unable to return to the horror anthology series.
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy hasn’t officially announced any of the cast for season 4 of the show outside of saying that Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson would both return in new roles.
The Visitors meanwhile will pick up production on the pilot in the coming months under Steven Spielberg’s group Amblin TV
