Battlestar Galactica and Dollhouse alum Tahmoh Penikett has signed up to start in a multi-episode arch in the upcoming ninth season of Supernatural, airing on The CW this fall.
Penikett is a regular to many fans of science fiction and fantasy having a major role in the Battlestar Galactica reboot where he played Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon.
The Canadian born actor has also had guest starring roles on series such as Castle, Arrow and a brief appearance in this year’s Superman flick Man of Steel.
Penikett will join the cast of Supernatural as a fallen angel named Ezekiel. According to the show’s executive producer Jeremy Carver, Ezekiel is a “dignified warrior angel injured in The Fall”.
The Fall was a major story arc in last season of Supernatural where angels fell from heaven to Earth.
Penikett will take on the role and appear in multiple episodes including the season premier of Supernatural, which returns this fall for season 9.
