Doctor Who Special ‘The Day of the Doctor’ Debut Date and Poster Released

The BBC is going all out for the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who and it all kicks off in November ahead of the 75-minute special for the show.

Several specials will be airing over the course of the BBC’s family of networks, all leading up to the debut of ‘The Day of the Doctor’ — a 75-minute special film that will feature exiting Doctor Matt Smtih as well as past incarnations of the character played by David Tennant and John Hurt.

The show will debut on November 23 on the BBC and will also be broadcast in the United States on the same day during the BBC America line up.

“Hope you all enjoy,” Actor Matt Smith said in a press release. “There’s lots more coming your way, as the countdown to the 50th begins now.”
