It looks like Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will try his chops at being a bad guy in a new video game….
Jon Snow may know nothing but his portrayer Kit Harington knows a fun role when it’s staring back at him.
The Game of Thrones star has signed on to appear in the upcoming video game Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but he’s not playing the hero this time around.
Instead, Harington has signed on to play the main antagonist in the long running military based series where he’ll be the face of the SDF (Settlement Defense Front) in the new game.
“Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro,” said Taylor Kurosaki, narrative director, Infinity Ward. “Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can’t wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character.”
According to the report, famed director Guy Ritchie even came on board to direct the scenes where Harington appeared as the villain in the upcoming video game release.
Harington is the latest celebrity to sign onto the long running Call of Duty series following appearances by both Kevin Spacey and Chris Meloni in past titles.
Considering the last Call of Duty game pulled in $550 million in sales, it’s easy to understand how the game is scoring “A” list talent to appear in the series.
