Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy, The Shield) will begin filming his new series ‘The Bastard Executioner’ in just a matter of days and now the writer/director and show runner has revealed the logo for the show via Instagram on Wednesday.
‘The Bastard Executioner’ stars Australian newcomer Lee Jones in the title role as Wilkin Brattle, an executioner in King Edward I army who vows to lay down his sword after witnessing the ravages of war, but he’s pulled back into the fray and this time the violence is going to be bloodier than ever before.
The series co-stars ‘True Blood’ favorite Stephen Moyer as well as ‘Sons of Anarchy’ matriarch Katey Sagal in featured roles for the show filming in Wales.
If the show is picked up to series (and every indication is it will), ‘The Bastard Executioner’ will air on FX later this year.
