The latest casting news out of Marvel’s Agent Carter has James D’Arcy joining the show as a fan favorite character…
James D’Arcy — best know for his roles in ‘Broadchurch’ and ‘Let’s Be Cops’ — has joined the cast of Marvel’s mid-season series ‘Agent Carter’.
D’Arcy will be playing Edwin Jarvis, the butler and close friend to Howard Stark, Tony Stark’s father. He becomes an unexpected ally and friend to Agent Peggy Carter during the series.
“Marvel’s Agent Carter,” starring “Captain America’s” Hayley Atwell, follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers.”
The new series starring Atwell will debut from Marvel on ABC this winter during the hiatus left by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when that show goes on its break.
