Morena Baccarin joined ‘Gotham’ in January playing the role of Dr. Leslie Thompkins, who in the show eventually ends up in a romantic relationship with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie).
While she was originally cast as a recurring role, ‘Gotham’ producers have upgraded her to a series regular for season 2 with production set to begin this summer.
Baccarin is currently in Vancouver filming her role in the upcoming ‘Deadpool’ movie alongside Ryan Reynolds before checking back into the Gotham City Police Department for full time duty in season 2 this fall.
‘Gotham’ season 2 is expected to debut in September on FOX.
