Supergirl has added a little bit more star power with ‘Brothers and Sisters’ alum Calista Flockhart joining the show as an iconic DC character….
As CBS’ new series ‘Supergirl’ gets closer to production, the show has now added a veteran actress to the cast in a featured role alongside Melissa Benoist, who plays Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl.
Calista Flockhart — best known for her roles in ‘Brothers and Sisters’ as well as ‘Ally McBeal’ — will play Cat Grant in the upcoming ‘Supergirl’ series.
In this version of the story, Cat Grant is powerful media mogul who runs CatCo. and happens to be Kara’s boss, who acts as her assistant on a day to day basis.
Flockhart will be a series regular alongside Benoist and several other cast members including Mehcad Brooks, who will play Kara’s best pal Jimmy Olsen.
‘Supergirl’ is expected to debut on CBS later this year.
