‘Supergirl’ will officially fly at CBS after the network officially picked up the show to series on Wednesday….
Add another superhero show to the lineup this Fall.
‘Supergirl’, from executive producer Greg Berlanti and starring Melissa Benoist in the title role, has officially been picked up to series at CBS with the show likely to debut later this year.
CBS will announced their full slate of programming next week but ‘Supergirl’ had an early deadline for the network to make a decision so they’ve opted to pick it up to series already.
Benoist stars as Kara Zor-El, cousin of fellow Kryptonian Superman, who hides her powers until she turns 24 and then she decides it’s time to come out of hiding and begin to help the world.
The show co-stars Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw.
As of now the total number of episodes for season one of ‘Supergirl’ has not been announced.
