Thandie Newton is the latest actress to sing on to star in HBO’s sprawling sci-fi epic ‘Westworld’….
The new pilot for HBO’s upcoming series ‘Westworld’ might just be the most ambitious of all time, especially when considering the cast list being put together for this show.
The latest addition is ‘Rogue’ star Thandie Newton, who joins Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Ed Harris and Jeffrey Wright among others who have already been cast in the show. As of now only a pilot has been ordered by HBO based on the original film by Michael Crichton.
Newton is best known for her roles in films such as ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ as well as ‘Crash’.
She will be playing a character named Maeve Millay, who is described as ” a genius for reading people and a knack for survival”. She is the madame of Westworld, which is a fictional area in a theme park where robots are made to live out role playing fantasies with guests. It seems from this bit of news that Newton will be playing one of those very robots.
