In The Flash recap, can Team Flash stop the Snarts, and what/who just came through the portal?!?

Holy intro Batman, ok I know wrong show but it was so cool. Barry, forensic scientist Barry is mixing some concoction when he gets a call from Iris. She is in an abandoned building with bullets being fired all around her as she tries to find cover. Barry leads her to a window, and with a bit of coaxing, gets het to jump out, yeah I know crazy. Barry shows up and saves her and then he runs into the building and subdues the baddies. You know, this is the first time Iris has actually done her job all season…
The team is hanging out at the “big breach” and they are trying to figure out how they can use it to get Jay back to world 2, his world. Cisco says he has tried throwing things into it, but it just keeps bouncing off, so Barry gets a bright idea and he tries, but fails miserably, to run into it. Jay then goes into this long complicated speech about how it’s a doorway, and it leads to a hall that leads to world 2. They have to figure out a way to stabilize all three in order to get through. Anyone else think that Jay is way smarter than Barry? No just me ok, moving on.
Papa Joe throws a wad of money, and an ultimatum at Iris’s mother. Since she has been gone for the first 20 years, he wants her out of the next as well. Mom just wants to help console Iris since she lost the love of her life, but Joe is having none of that. He tells her to be gone in 48 hours.
Barry and Patty have a quick, and awkward, moment at the new Jitters and then the team has a “Flash” drink, coffee with a shot of expresso. Sister Snart begs the team to help her “kidnapped” brother. Barry goes to check it out and Lenny, Captain Cold, freezes him and takes off with his father. Surprise, surprise it’s a trap, or is it? Cisco fires up one of his new gadgets on the suit and it thaws the ice off Barry. Cisco always has something up his sleeve.
Sister Snart, Lisa, seems surprised when she is told that Lenny wasn’t kidnapped, but was in fact working for their father. She is devastated and walks off. Cisco follows her and she tells him how bad of a man her father was. She explains that Lenny is only working with their father because he is holding something over his head. She begs them to help save Lenny.
Papa Joe shoes up at Iris’s work to talk, but she is told that her story, from the intro, is making the front page, so she is whisked away and Joe can’t tell her. Barry finds Lenny and tries to get him to stop working with his father, but Lenny blows him off, and he leaves him with the check. Those sneaky bad guys.
Papa Joe, who is hurting inside, calls on Barry to talk about the new arrival. Barry explains that what Joe did was the right thing and that Iris will understand. When Joe and Barry get together, it always makes you feel the feels.
Papa Snart lays out the plan of attack, but after a few harsh words from the third member of the bad guys, the team is now down to two. Apparently Papa Snart put some type of bomb in the guy’s head, and now he doesn’t have one anymore. Don’t cross Papa Snart!
Jay and Caitlyn chat about how Jay isn’t copping well without his powers. She tells him that this Jay, the scientist, is doing just as much to help others as the Flash Jay did. “You don’t need super powers to make a difference.” Cisco calls Cait down to show her that Lisa has a bomb in her head as well. Their father must have injected her after he knocked her out, and this is the reason why Lenny is helping their father.
Papa Joe finally has that heart to heart with Iris. He explains to her that her mom was a druggie and a deadbeat, and once she left, it was easier to say that she had died. He breaks down but Iris takes his trembling hand and tells him it’s ok, and that she understands why he did it. Phew, Joe really had me teared up there, Iris not so much. That was kind of weird.
The team tries to figure out a way to get the bomb out of Lisa’s head, but it is an air bomb? If it gets exposed to air, it will go off. Barry infiltrates the Snart crew, as the new tech guy, to keep an eye on Papa Snart. Good thing he is there, or four guards would be dead. They get to the safe, and Barry works his speed magic to unlock the door. He takes a bullet to the chest for his work, or so Papa Snart thinks.
Cisco figures out a kind of dangerous way to get the bomb out of Lisa’s head, as Papa Snart gets to his diamonds. The tension builds as Barry, in his suit, intercedes and Papa Snart tries to force Lenny to shoot him. He threatens to blow Lisa up, but Cisco gets the bomb out just before he does. Barry informs Lenny that she is safe, and he turns the ice gun on his father, burning, well freezing an icicle in his heart. Barry and Lenny have a little conversation, at Iron Heights, about how Lenny showed he has some good in him. Planting the seed for Legends of Tomorrow??
At Jitters, Barry and Patty have another awkward conversation and she gives him her number, for work reasons only… Meanwhile, Lisa thanks Cisco for helping her and Lenny with a great big kiss!
The “Speed Cannon” as they call it, is up and working. Jay realizes that it is time for him to go, but Caitlyn awkwardly points out that they need him to help with Zoom, or anything else that might come through the portal. He decides to stay, for now, then suddenly Dr. Stein’s eyes go white and his body flashes the Firestorm fire, then it goes blue, then he passes out. After the team clears out a person comes through the portal. It’s Dr. Wells, or maybe it’s Thorne, or maybe it’s someone new…
