The benefits of the new ‘Walking Dead’ show that will be set in Los Angeles according to a report from TVLine on Tuesday.
The new series, which will pick up production next year, will be based in the same universe as ‘The Walking Dead’ that currently airs on Sunday nights on AMC but with a completely different cast and no plans to ever have the two shows interact with each other (for now).
The plan all along has been for the spinoff series to be set apart from the original show and putting the cast and characters thousands of miles away on the opposite coast is certainly a good start.
While the show will take place in Los Angeles, there is still no word on whether or not the show will actually film in Los Angeles or not. The current series sets up shop in Georgia, but this new series will be run as a completely separate entity.
Any other details are sketchy at best for now but we do know for sure ‘Training Day’ star Cliff Curtis has landed the lead role in the new zombie series.
