Walton Goggins is a man who loves to work so following the end of ‘Justified’ this spring, the veteran actor will move onto a new HBO series…
‘Justified’ is currently knee-deep in its final season with a showdown brewing between lead characters Raylan Givens and Boyd Crowder before the series comes to an end this spring.
Crowder’s portrayer, Walton Goggins, may be misty eyed that his current gig is about to end, but he’s already got plenty lined up as soon as the show is over.
Goggins is currently filming his part in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’ and now he’s signed on for his next gig where he’ll star in an HBO comedy alongside Danny McBride.
‘Vice Principals’ focuses on two different high school administrators — one will be played by McBride, the other now by Goggins (who is said to be a conniving politician), in a new comedy series for HBO that’s already been ordered for 18 half hour episodes.
McBride and Goggins will star alongside Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire, Agent Carter) as well as Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Selfie).
The series has been picked up by HBO, but as of now there’s no premiere date for ‘Vice Principals’.
