Every year at the world famous San Diego Comic Con there are a few panels that generally steal the show.
In 2011, the panel for the show Lost was supposed to be a look back one year after it ended, but special guests Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse showing up definitely helped boost the reunion to a whole new level.
Last year, the 10th anniversary panel for Firefly was by far the most popular and attended panel at the convention with fans waiting in line for the better part of 24 hours to get a glimpse of the cast and crew coming back together on stage.
The convention in 2013 now joins that list with the X-Files coming to Comic Con for the 20th anniversary panel on Thursday, July 18 according to an ad in the recent TV Guide.
Series creator Chris Carter will appear along with David Amann, Vince Gilligan, Howard Gordon, Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan, Jim Wong, and John Shiban.
As far as the stars of the X-Files—David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson—their appearances have not been confirmed as of yet.
According to EW.com, Anderson has been confirmed for the upcoming show, but Duchovny has not responded to questions if he will be in attendance.
It’s almost a lock that Duchovny will end up being a surprise guest as Comic Con panels are notorious for pulling off these kinds of last minute features. Other actors from the show could also end up being a part of the panel depending on timing or appearances already scheduled for the convention.
The X-Files panel will likely be one of the biggest of the week so if you are attending San Diego Comic Con make sure to get there early if you plan on attending the July 18 panel!
The Nerdcore Movement will be in attendance at San Diego Comic Con running a week long, live blog for the festivities. Stay tuned for more details.
