’24: Legacy’ has come to an end after a single season on FOX…
The countdown on ’24: Legacy’ has already expired.
The rebooted series based on the original ’24’ starring Kiefer Sutherland has been cancelled after one season on FOX.
The show featured ‘Straight Outta Compton’ and ‘The Walking Dead’ star Corey Hawkins in the lead role alongside ‘Homeland’ veteran’ Miranda Otto and Jimmy Smits, fresh off a turn on ‘Sons of Anarchy’.
Despite high hopes for the series, ’24: Legacy’ saw ratings plummet after a highly publicized debut on Super Bowl Sunday this year.
While ’24: Legacy’ is dead, the idea behind a new ’24’ series isn’t gone just yet.
It appears, FOX will work with writers and producers on a new version of ’24’ that could end up as an anthology series with a new cast of characters appearing each season. Of course, this is all in the beginning stages but it’s clear FOX isn’t ready to give up on ’24’ just yet but ’24: Legacy’ is definitely done.
