Following the smash hit ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Taika Waititi will return to direct the next installment in the series as well…
Taika Waititi is bringing back the God of Thunder for at least one more film.
On Wednesday it was confirmed that Waititi is expected to return to write and direct ‘Thor 4’ starring Chris Hemsworth, which comes on the heels of their highly successful collaboration on ‘Thor: Ragnarok’. The news was first reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
There had been a ton of speculation following that film whether or not Waititi would return to direct another Marvel movie with other projects already in the works for the highly sought after filmmaker.
Now it appears Waititi is ready to go back to Asgard for another installment in the ‘Thor’ series while Marvel prepares for the next phase of their cinematic universe with more announcements expected at San Diego Comic Con this week.
Waititi was originally expected to helm the long gestating ‘Akira’ adaptation but it seems that film will be put on hold indefinitely as he turns his attention back to ‘Thor’ for a sequel to ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
