Take a look at the first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s newest film titled “Old” where a mysterious beach causes everyone there to age rapidly with no explanation…
M. Night Shyamalan is well known for his mysterious movies and the latest addition to his resume teases an interesting and terrifying premise.
The new trailer for “Old” dropped this week, which features a first look at a group of vacationing families on a beach where people age rapidly with no explanation whatsoever.
The director behind films such as “The Sixth Sense” and “Unbreakable” was inspired by a comic book graphic novel titled “Sandcastle,” which featured the same premise.
“Sandcastle truly inspired my film Old,” Shyamalan said about his new film. “It is a profound mystery, sci-fi graphic novel that is illustrated so beautifully and with such humanity. Its themes of aging had me thinking about my parents and children and how quickly it all goes by. From the moment I read this I was changed.”
Here’s the official synopsis for the film:
“This summer, visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan unveils a chilling, mysterious new thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly … reducing their entire lives into a single day.”
