There’s a new “Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood” novel coming soon and a trailer for the book has revealed footage never before seen in the film…
When Quentin Tarantino finished filming “Once Upon a Time … In Hollywood,” the original cut was around four hours long.
Once he finished editing, the film was obviously cut down to the shorter version seen in theaters but now the prolific writer and director is expanding upon what happened in that movie with a new novelization coming out on June 29.
With the novel version of “Once Upon a Time … In Hollywood” about to land on bookshelves, Tarantino has also released a trailer for his first ever book featuring some of the cut footage that didn’t make the theatrical version of his movie.
The new trailer features all new scenes involving Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Al Pacino and Damon Herriman, who famously played Charles Manson in the film but actually only made a very brief appearance in the final version of the movie.
The new trailer shows off Herriman playing Manson along with an interesting sequence featuring DiCaprio’s character Rick Dalton sharing a phone conversation with his “Lancer” co-star Trudi Frasier (played by Julia Butters) as she raves about their work together earlier in the day.
While the trailer offers some new footage from the award winning movie, Tarantino has promised that his book version of “Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood” will be far more than just a novelization of his original script.
Instead, Tarantino has said he will deliver more information about Rick Dalton’s entire career from the days where he was starring on “Bounty Law” to his attempts to crossover to movies. He will also delve deeper into the backstory surrounding Rick’s infamous stunt double Cliff Booth including the story teased in the movie about how he got away with killing his own wife.
The novel version of “Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood” arrives on June 29 but check out the trailer now to see some new footage from the film.
