Here’s a first look at “Servant” season 3 as Leanne is firmly back embedded in the Turner home but now she’s got to protect them from the religious cult that she came from…
Nothing is ever quite as it seems in the mind-bending series “Servant” from executive producer M. Night Shyamalan.
Now the trailer for “Servant’ season 3 has arrived with a first look at what lies ahead when the show return to Apple TV+ on January 21.
When season 2 came to an end, Leanne was visited by her Aunt Josephine, who promised the Turners information about their “son” Jericho, who had been missing ever since the season 1 finale. Josephine’s arrival was met with plenty of skepticism, particularly from Dorothy who was convinced that Jericho had been killed by the crazy religious cult and she’d never be reunited with him.
Meanwhile, Josephine’s true mission was to punish Leanne for her behavior and put her back on the right path as a member of the Church of Lesser Saints. Josephine ultimately showed Leanne a video about how to deal with a member who has broken apart from the church in a message delivered by someone called “Uncle Frederick,” which included instructions involving cutting the person and eventually burning them alive.
Just when it appears Josephine is about to carry out these horrific acts upon Leanne, it’s Dorothy who rescues her from certain death. Leanne ultimately stabs out Josephine’s eyes while promising Dorothy that she will bring back Jericho.
Finally when Sean and Dorothy return to the basement, Josephine’s body is gone and that’s when they hear Jericho on the baby monitor. After rushing upstairs, they find Leanne with baby Jericho in her arms promising that they will all be a family together now.
When “Servant” season 3 picks up, Leanne has officially joined the Turner home as the nanny again, except this time she’s not keeping nearly as many secrets while trying to protect her new family from the Church of the Lesser Saints. Judging by the trailer, everyone living in that house will be constantly looking over their shoulder cause it certainly doesn’t seem like this is the kind of cult to just give up and walk away.
