Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters will fight possession and demons while attempting to make a new album in the upcoming horror film ‘Studio 666’…
It turns out making an album can be murder … at least according to the Foo Fighters.
A new horror-comedy from the Grammy winning rock band called “Studio 666” will arrive in February and the first full length trailer for the movie was released on Wednesday.
Frontman Dave Grohl stars alongside his bandmates in the film, which sends the Foo Fighters into a house to record their new album and before long the former Nirvana drummer starts exhibiting some really strange behavior. Here’s the synopsis for “Studio 666”:
“In STUDIO 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.”
By the look of things, “Studio 666” definitely pays homage to classic horror films such as “Evil Dead” with Grohl being possessed by some kind of demon that causes him to go after everybody — including the bandmates attempting to help him finish the Foo Fighters record.
“Studio 666” is directed by BJ McDonnell, who previously worked on the horror sequel “Hatchet III’ and the film will also star Jenna Ortega, Will Forte, Jeff Garlin and Whitney Cummings.
“Studio 666” arrives in theaters on February 25 with tickets already on sale for the upcoming screenings.
