“The Boys” upcoming spinoff “Gen-V” has debuted a first look trailer with a few familiar faces popping up in the new college set series…
“The Boys” are going to college. Well sort of.
The new series “Gen-V” — the first spinoff from “The Boys” — has debuted its first footage in a new teaser trailer ahead of the show’s 2023 premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The series will be set at a college where young Supes are training and learning how to become full fledged “heroes” much like the ones we already know such as Homelander, A-Train and The Deep.
Not much is known about the plot of the series, although it’s been described a college-aged show mixed with “The Hunger Games.”
The setting will take place at Godolkin University — a college for young supes owned and operated by Vought International. Judging by the footage, things get just as crazy there as it does as Vought Tower where Homelander and The Seven reside.
The new series stars Jaz Sinclair (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) as Marie — a name that briefly popped up during “The Boys” season 3 when her face appeared on a search screen at the Red River Institute where young supes unable to control their powers are sent and raised in an adoption center of sorts. She will be joined in the new series by her felling “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” costar Chance Perdomo as well as Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi.
The new trailer also reveals that veteran actor Clancy Brown will be part of the cast as well as Jason Ritter and Alexander Calvert.
Of course there will also be more than a few familiar faces crossing over from “The Boys” including Jessie T. Usher, who will bring A-Train to college along with new Vought leader Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) and Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne), who was the director behind the film “The Dawn of the Seven,” which was featured prominently during “The Boys” season 3.
“Gen-V” is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video in 2023, although no exact debut date has been revealed just yet. As for “The Boys” — the main series is currently filming season 4 in Toronto but there’s no word yet when those episodes will appear just yet.
For now take a look at the first trailer for “Gen-V” and get ready to go to college with “The Boys” in 2023.
