Two more DC shows have been cancelled with “Titans” and “Doom Patrol” both being cancelled at HBO Max following their ongoing fourth seasons…
“Titans” and “Doom Patrol” are the latest DC series that will come to an end after both shows were cancelled on Wednesday.
HBO Max officially scrapped both series with “Titans” and “Doom Patrol” currently in the middle of a fourth season, which will wrap up with the final episodes airing on the streaming service later this year.
“While these will be the final seasons of Titans and Doom Patrol, we are very proud of these series and excited for fans to see their climactic endings,” HBO Max said in a statement released on Wednesday. “We are grateful to Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television for making such thrilling, action-packed, heartfelt series. We thank Titans showrunner Greg Walker, executive producers Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns, Richard Hatem, and the team at Weed Road Pictures.
“For Doom Patrol, we celebrate showrunner Jeremy Carver and executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns, Chris Dingess, and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson. For four seasons, fans have fallen in love with the Titans and Doom Patrol, investing in their trials and tribulations, and in their legendary battles saving the world time and time again.”
“Titans” and “Doom Patrol” were both originally started to help launch the DC Universe app but that was eventually absorbed into HBO Max in 2020. While both series were renewed for a fourth season back in 2021, HBO Max has now decided to end the shows as cost cutting measures continue at Warner Media following a merger with Discovery.
The first half of what will now be the final season for “Titans” and “Doom Patrol” have already been released on HBO Max with the second half of those seasons debuting later this year.
