“Deadpool 3” has found its villain.
Emma Corrin — best known for their work on “The Crown” as well as the recent Netflix film “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” — has been cast in the upcoming film from Marvel Studios that stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
Corrin received rave reviews for their portrayal of Princess Diana on “The Crown,” which earned them an Emmy nomination as well as a win at the Golden Globes.
Details around the character Corrin will play remains a secret, although multiple reports suggest that they will portray the lead villain in the upcoming film, which will serve as the first ever ‘R’ rated feature from Marvel Studios.
Reynolds announced the news on social media, followed by an excited post from Corrin.
New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin! ⚔️❤️⚔️ pic.twitter.com/LSobi4AqO9

In addition to “Deadpool 3,” Corrin also recently signed on to star in Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated horror film “Nosferatu” alongside Lily Rose-Depp, Bill Skarsgard and Nicholas Hoult.
As for “Deadpool 3,” the film will be directed by Shawn Levy, who is best known for his work on “Stranger Things” with a script by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who worked on previous “Deadpool” films as well.
Of course, “Deadpool 3” will also feature the return of Jackman as Wolverine — a role he effectively said goodbye to after filming 2017’s “Logan.” Now he will reprise his role as the famed X-Men member while starring alongside his pal Reynolds, who will once again portray the Merc with a Mouth.
