Cameron and Colin Cairnes already received attention after their low budget horror film “100 Bloody Acres” received positive reviews back in 2012 but the brothers came up with a much different idea for their latest project.
Both worked on TV in the past including live television where disaster could strike at any moment and at some point usually does. Watching moments like that unfold, particularly on talk shows featuring icons like Johnny Carson, gave them the idea to center a story around the world of late night television.
They also loved films that dealt with show business and combining that with their favorite genre of VHS horror from the 70s and 80s spawned an idea about a stunt on late night television that goes horribly wrong.
The plot follows Jack Delroy, a successful late-night talk show host who is suddenly falling behind in the ratings, and he decides the way to get back on top is with a special live Halloween episode that goes horribly wrong…
