A third film in “A Quiet Place” series has officially been announced with a release date in 2025, although not much else is known at this time…
“A Quiet Place 3” is on the way from Paramount in 2025.
The official announcement was made on Tuesday by original creator John Krasinski, who wrote and directed both of the previous films in the series.
“A Quiet Place” ended up as a critical and commercial hit while also launching Krasinski into the stratosphere after he crafted an incredibly original horror film about a family attempting to survive after sound-sensitive aliens land on Earth and essentially wipe out everything on the planet.
Krasinksi returned for “A Quiet Place 2,” which earned nearly $300 million at the box office amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it a bona fide hit for the studio.
Another film set in “A Quiet Place” universe is also in the works from “Pig” director Michael Sarnoski, but that movie will take place in a different corner of the same world as the main series but won’t involve any of the original characters, although Krasinski helped craft the story for the spinoff.
That film is due out in 2023.
Little is known about “A Quiet Place 3” but considering Krasinski was involved with the announcement, it’s pretty safe to assume that he’ll be returning in some form or fashion for the third film in the series. It’s also likely original series stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe will also come back, but again no official announcements have been made at this time.
