“American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy loves surprises.
On Wednesday, he dropped another unexpected announced as he revealed the main cast for “American Horror Story” season 10, which is expected to go into production this summer with a September or October release date on FX. After previously teasing that the long running anthology series might be coming to an end soon, Murphy ended up sticking around after FX renewed the show all the way through season 13.
While details about the plot for season 10 remain a mystery, Murphy unveiled the cast members including several old favorites and one famous new face joining the show. Here’s the full cast list for “American Horror Story” season 10.

Needless to say the most notable name that sticks out on that list is Culkin, who will join “American Horror Story” while also appearing as a series regular on a live action television show for the first time in his career. The “Home Alone” actor has mostly dabbled with roles over the past few years but now he’ll join one of the biggest series on FX when he appears on “American Horror Story.”
The rest of the cast that was announced on Wednesday have appeared in past seasons of the show in some form or fashion, many of them numerous times.
Paulson previously confirmed that she would be coming back after taking a one-season hiatus as she skipped out on “American Horror Story: 1984.” Kathy Bates will also make her return after sitting out the previous season as well.
Evan Peters is another cast member coming back for season 10 after he opted out of “American Horror Story: 1984,” which marked the first time he didn’t appear on the show.
No debut date for “American Horror Story’ season 10 has been announced but the 10 episode season will likely debut this fall on FX.
