American Horror Story is officially set to return for season 11 in October with the title now revealed as AHS: New York City…
American Horror Story has already done asylums, covens, freak shows, and even the apocalypse and now the new season will tackle an even more frightening subject — New York City.
OK really, New York City is awesome but that’s still the title that Ryan Murphy and company came up with for the new season of American Horror Story, which is set to return on FX on Wednesday night, October 19.

The series will unravel in rapid fire fashion with the first two episodes debuting on Oct. 19 and then two more episodes for each of the following four weeks. The 11th season will consist of 10 episodes in total with this ultimately serving as the shortest run for American Horror Story, at least in terms of timing for the release of each installment on FX.
The episodes will also be available the next day on Hulu.
Now what exactly will be happening in American Horror Story: New York City?
Well that remains anybody’s guess because Murphy rarely reveals much of anything about each particular season until the full trailer drops just a week or two before the debut. Even then, the trailer doesn’t typically give away too much, although there have been a few rumors about this latest installment.
Thanks to photos taken while the show was filming in New York, it appeared some of the actors working on set were wearing throwback outfits dated to the 1970s or possibly the 1980s with others in more modern clothes. That means American Horror Story could be looking at another season that will jump between time periods, which has happened on numerous occasions in past years.

As far as the cast for American Horror Story: New York City, many past favorites will be returning along with a few new faces as well. Joe Mantello, Billie Lourd, Zachary Quinto, Russell Tovey, Leslie Grossman, Charlie Carver, Sandra Bernhard, Isaac Powell, Denis O’Hare and Patti LuPone are all confirmed to appear in the upcoming season.
Not much else is known or probably will be known until the show debuts but keep an eye out for more information on American Horror Story: New York City as it becomes available.
