The title to the new season of ‘American Horror Story’ has finally been revealed with a hint at what lies ahead this season…
‘American Horror Story’ is once again going back in time for the latest season, this time tackling another classic horror genre.
On Wednesday it was revealed that season 9 of the anthology series would be called ‘American Horror Story: 1984’ with the theme this season paying homage to the classic 1980’s slasher flicks including ‘Friday the 13th’, ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ and many more that dominated that decade.
The cast for the newest season of ‘American Horror Story’ hasn’t been revealed but we do know that Emma Roberts is expected to play one of the lead characters. Evan Peters will not be returning for ‘American Horror Story: 1984’ after starring in every other version of the show in previous years.
The rest of the cast and story remains a mystery but it appears we now know the theme for the newest season with the show set in ‘1984’.
The teaser trailer shows a teenager being chased through the woods set to the sounds of the track ‘Six Feet Under’ by Billie Eilish and just when it appears the girl has found safety in a cabin, a knife comes tearing through the door from the would be killer.
‘American Horror Story: 1984’ is expected to debut on FX in the fall, most likely in September or October.
