There’s been a lot of mystery surrounding Peter Dinklage’s role in Avengers: Infinity War but it appears his part has finally been revealed…
Despite the attention being paid to Avengers: Infinity War with the film just days from being released, directors and writers Anthony and Joe Russo have still managed to keep a few secrets.
Chief among them are some of the famous actors and actresses lending their voices to characters in the highly anticipated Avengers sequel. A few days ago, the Russo brothers revealed that Carrie Coon — best known for her role on The Leftovers and Fargo — was voicing Proxima Midnight, one of Thanos’ feared Black Order.
Now it appears Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage is playing a similar role as Proxima Midnight’s husband and Thanos’ favored ‘son’ Corvus Glaive.
In a new clip revealed during ‘Good Morning America’ this week, a fight scene is shown with Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight taking on some of the Avengers but when they are defeated, both speak for the first time. Proxima (voiced by Carrie Coon) asks her husband to get up and Corvus Glaive responds ‘I can’t’ and that voice certainly sounds like the man who plays Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones.
Dinklage voicing Corvus Glaive would make a lot of sense considering he is the leader of the Black Order as well as a fiercely loyal advocate for Thanos in the comic books. Also the fact that a high profile actress like Carrie Coon is voicing his wife Proxima Midnight would only stand to reason that another well known actor would fill the role of her husband, Corvus Glaive.
Watch the clip for yourself to hear the voice that almost certainly belongs to Dinklage.
Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters nationwide on April 27.
