The final season of “Better Call Saul” will arrive sooner rather than later with the first teaser for the “Breaking Bad” prequel just released…
The final season of “Better Call Saul” will arrive sooner or later but not without teasing the actual debut date first.
On Monday, the first teaser for season 6 of the “Breaking Bad” prequel landed on social media along with a tagline that stated “Better Call Saul’ returns for its final season. Mark your calendar” except for one problem — there was no actual date attached to the message or the video released.

The video was a brief 15 second clip that featured a pair of boots belonging to The Cousins — the infamous Salamanca twins, who have appeared several times in both “Better Call Saul” and “Breaking Bad.” By the look of things, the Cousins were walking through the crime scene at Lalo Salamanca’s hideaway, which was assaulted by a group of assassins sent there to kill him in the season 5 finale.
Lalo was able to survive after escaping through a tunnel he had built underneath his house and that came after he figured out that the attack was launched by his own employee Nacho Varga as well as his old friend Gustavo Fring.
Now here’s where things get interesting.
While the teaser didn’t give away the “Better Call Saul” debut date, two markers that appeared in the video might have given away the clues that actually revealed when the show will return.
Two evidence markers with the letters D and R are seen at the crime scene investigation, which corresponds to the numbers 4 and 18 — and perhaps that actually stands for April 18 (the fourth month of the year and the 18th day of that month, which just so happens to be on a Monday where “Better Call Saul” typically airs).
Someday…SOON. It's a helluva great season. Our best… https://t.co/Y4q27THznb

“Better Call Saul” has notoriously plugged in puzzles like this in previous seasons — most notable back in season 2 where the first letters in all of the episode titles could be mixed up to spell “FRING’S BACK,” which served as a teaser to the return of Gus Fring from “Breaking Bad.”
Sure enough, the season 2 finale revealed Gus was going to return as part of “Better Call Saul” with actor Giancarlo Esposito officially joining the series the following year.
As of now, there’s no official confirmation that “Better Call Saul” will debut on April 18 but it sure seems to make a lot of sense based on the timing from previous seasons as well as the teaser dropping in February.
Stay tuned for more information as the final season of “Better Call Saul” approaches.
