‘Better Call Saul’ will finally return in early 2020 and we’ve got the first photos from season 5 as Jimmy says goodbye and Saul Goodman says hello…
After more than a year away, “Better Call Saul” will finally return for season 5 in early 2020.
The “Breaking Bad” prequel will get a special two-night premiere on AMC on Sunday night February 23 at 10 p.m. ET following “The Walking Dead” and then the second episode will air on Monday, February 24 at 9 p.m ET, which is the regular timeslot for the series moving forward.
The delay in the return of “Better Call Saul” coincided with the recent “Breaking Bad” movie titled “El Camino” that picked up after the events of the finale while following Jesse Pinkman after he escaped the Nazi compound where he was held prisoner.
“Better Call Saul” picks up in the aftermath of the season 4 finale where Jimmy McGill finally got his law license back but rather than practicing under his own name, he closed out the last episode by officially adopting the moniker Saul Goodman.
Obviously, Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman has been happening for four seasons already but season 5 will show him complete his move to the less than moral attorney who eventually becomes partners with Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.
Ahead of the debut of “Better Call Saul” season 5, AMC also released the first photos from the season including a look at the new Saul Goodman, Kim Wexler, Mike Ehrmantraut and Gus Fring. Take a look at the photos below and get ready for the return of “Better Call Saul” on Feb. 23.
