The first full length trailer for ‘Billions’ season 4 has arrived as Chuck and Axe form a friendly alliance to bring down their enemies together…
Once enemies, Chuck Rhoades and Bobby Axelrod may now be even more powerful as allies as the first full length trailer for ‘Billions’ season 4 teases with a look at what lies ahead when the show returns on March 17.
The end of ‘Billions’ season 3 left Chuck and Axe both in precarious positions after they were upended by some unexpected treachery.
Chuck was ousted as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York after he tried a power play against Attorney General ‘Jock’ Jeffcoat and in his place was his former prodigy Brian Connerty.
Meanwhile, Axe saw his fastest rising star Taylor Mason leave him the lurch as they started their own firm and even managed to poach some talent from Axe Capital in the process. Perhaps the biggest shot to Axe’s ego, however, was Russian billionaire Grigor Andolov taking his money away from Axe Cap and handing it over to Taylor Mason Capital.
Now after fighting to help keep each other out of prison, Chuck and Axe are teaming up to help each achieve their own conquest to smote their enemies.
For Chuck that means become the new State Attorney General in New York and for Axe he’s counting on Chuck’s victory to help him ensure a legal battle to bring down Taylor.
Here’s the official synopsis from Showtime:
“When everyone is out for revenge, no one is safe. This is never more true than in season 4 of BILLIONS. Bobby Axelrod (Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti), former enemies, and Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff), the chief counselor to each, have come together to form an uneasy but highly effective alliance, aimed at the eradication of all their rivals, including Grigor Andolov (guest star John Malkovich), Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon), Bryan Connerty (Toby Leonard Moore) and Waylon “Jock” Jeffcoat (guest star Clancy Brown). Ambition and betrayal have long been at the heart of BILLIONS, and this season all the characters find out exactly how high a price they’ll have to pay to satisfy those needs.”
