The first look at “Billions” season 5 has arrived as Bobby and Chuck are once again at odds but a new rival has arrived on the scene…
Bobby Axelrod will have a whole new set of problems awaiting him when “Billions” season 5 debuts on May 3 on Showtime.
At the end of “Billions” season 4, Bobby finally got the upper hand in his battle with Taylor Mason by shutting down their firm and bringing them back to Axe Capital. Little did he know, however, that Taylor struck a deal with Chuck, who finally had enough of his faux friendship and partnership with Axe. Of course, Chuck doesn’t know that Taylor is essentially just waiting for his rivalry with Axe to bring them both down.
When “Billions” season 5 debuts, Axe will have another rival to deal with as Corey Stoll joins the show as a former friend turned industrialist. Add to that, Julianna Margulies joins the show this year with a slew of guest stars including Frank Grillo also appearing this season. Here’s the official synopsis for “Billions” season 5:
“In season five of BILLIONS, Bobby Axelrod (Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) see their vicious rivalry reignited, while new enemies rise and take aim. Social impact pioneer Mike Prince (Stoll) poses a true threat to Axe’s dominance, and Chuck feuds with a formidable district attorney. Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon) is forced back to Axe Capital, where they must fight to protect their employees and their assets. Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) reevaluates her loyalties and forges surprising new alliances that put her at odds with both Chuck and Axe. This season, the struggle for power becomes a struggle for survival, and all characters must adapt or risk extinction. Margulies will play Catherine Brant, an Ivy League sociology professor and bestselling author.”
