The latest offering in the ‘Black Mirror’ universe is a full length feature film that dropped on Netflix on Friday…
As fans anxiously await the fifth season of ‘Black Mirror’ — the techno-savvy horror anthology from creator Charlie Brooker — a surprise announcement was made on Thursday that a new film set in that universe was being released a day later.
Now that movie has arrived on Netflix and it’s called ‘Bandersnatch’.
‘Black Mirror’ has had several extended episodes that go beyond an hour in length but this latest offering is actually being biled as a full length feature film. Here’s the synopsis from Neflix:
“In 1984, a young programmer begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge. Welcome back.”
‘Black Mirror’ has a tendency to give away very little in the descriptions of their episodes and the trailer only perpetuates that idea by giving you a mind bending look at what to expect in ‘Bandersnatch’.
The new ‘Black Mirror’ film stars Fionn Whitehead — best known from his role in ‘Dunkirk’ — as well as co-stars Will Poulter, Craig Parkinson, Alice Lowe and Asim Chaudhry.
