Following his role playing Eli Thompson on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire for the last five season, Shea Whigham will retire his alcohol sauced prohibition rags and instead rock a suit as Roger Dooley, the leader of the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), who oversees the activities of agents like Peggy Carter.
Whigham will act as the male lead in the show also starring Hayley Atwell as Carter, Chad Michael Murray and Enver Gjokaj as agents for the SSR set in 1946 after Captain America is thrown into the deep freeze following his battle with Red Skull and HYDRA during World War II.
Agent Carter will debut this winter during the hiatus for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
