Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are both set to appear in the upcoming Marvel series “Echo” as they return to their roles from “Daredevil”….

Daredevil and The Kingpin are officially back.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio — who appeared as hero and villain in the Marvel series “Daredevil” — are set to return to those characters as part of the upcoming Disney+ show “Echo,” which is a spinoff from the “Hawkeye” series released in 2021.

It will be the first time Cox and D’Onofrio have appeared together as those characters since “Daredevil” was cancelled by Netflix back in 2018.

Of course, Cox made a brief appearance as attorney Matt Murdock in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” but now he’ll make a bigger return as part of the “Echo” series, which stars Alaqua Cox in the lead role as deaf assassin Maya Lopez aka Echo.

D’Onofrio already made quite a splash when he returned as Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin in “Hawkeye” after it was revealed that he was the big bad behind many of the moves being made on the show, which put him in direct opposition of Clint Barton and his new prodigy Kate Bishop. When “Hawkeye” ended, Maya had turned on Fisk after learning he was the person responsible for her father’s death.

It appeared that Maya had killed Fisk but that was left up to interpretation, thus clearing the way for D’Onofrio to return to the role for the “Echo” series.

Rumors have swirled that part of Cox’s storyline will involve Daredevil searching for a former ally in the series with many believing that person is Jessica Jones, who was played by Krysten Ritter in another Netflix series that was cancelled after the streaming service cut ties with Marvel following the launch of Disney+.

There have also been talks about a new “Daredevil” series in the works at Disney+ and that could ultimately serve as another spinoff once Cox and D’Onofrio return in “Echo.” It’s unclear if the new “Daredevil” series would just pick up where the Netflix show ended but it seems likely considering Marvel regained the rights to those shows recently with all of the seasons now appearing on Disney+.

According to Marvel, “Echo” will follow Maya as her life in New York as a gang leader catches up with her as she returns to her hometown and reconnects with her Native American roots. Zahn McClarnon, who portrayed her father in flashback scenes, will reprise that role for the upcoming series along with additional cast members including Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs and Cody Lightning and Graham Greene.

In the comics, Echo was actually introduced in the pages of “Daredevil” and eventually she engaged in a romantic relationship with Matt Murdock, although there’s no telling what kind of story the new series will set up once production gets underway.
