Chris Hemsworth says if you were shocked by the events in Avengers: Infinity War then you’ll be blown away by the upcoming sequel…
The next Avengers movie won’t be out until May 3, 2019 but the anticipation for the film is already reaching a fevered pitch after Avengers: Infinity War left audiences wide-eyed with jaws on the floor at the conclusion.
Both movies were filmed back-to-back so production on the films are already done and that’s why Thor himself Chris Hemsworth is willing to tease what lies ahead in the upcoming fourth Avengers movie, which is still awaiting a title.
According to Hemsworth, Avengers 4 will receive an even bigger reaction from audiences than what unfolded during Avengers: Infinity War.
“If you were shocked by [Infinity War], I think the second one is even more shocking, for other reasons entirely,” Hemsworth told Esquire. “That’s what kind of blew me away the first time I read both scripts, is how they managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique—not just like a messy, thrown-together assembly of these guys.
“The second one I’m probably even more excited about. Just for people to see. I just think it’s another step again. Each step we seem to take with these films, I’ve loved the fact that there’s been growth and evolution and it continues to surprise people as opposed to sort of flatlining, which was obviously always a fear—that they’d run out of ideas or run dry of creative excitement. For me, this whole experience has been incredible. In particular the last one.”
Hemsworth obviously played a major role in Avengers: Infinity War and it’s not likely he’ll be any less important in the upcoming sequel.
Avengers 4 is shrouded in mystery with Marvel not even releasing the title of the movie yet with no plans to release any footage until at least late this year if not early 2019. Marvel will not be appearing at San Diego Comic Con this summer so there won’t be any teasers released before the studio actually puts out a trailer.
Let the anticipation begin as we await Avengers 4 in May 2019.
