The crime drama series ‘City on a Hill’ has been renewed for season 2 on Showtime…
‘City on a Hill’ is officially returning for season 2 on Showtime.
The cable network announced that the series created by Chuck McLean counts Oscar winners Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as executive producers will return for a second season in 2020.
Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge star as a correct FBI agent and an ambitious district attorney in 1990’s Boston as they attempt to forge a fragile partnership to bring down a gang of armored truck robbers.
“City on a Hill is that addictive kind of meaty and messy show we love at Showtime,” said Showtime entertainment president Gary Levine. “With the inspired pairing of Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge and the inspired writing of Tom Fontana and Chuck MacLean, we believe there is a rich future for this compelling series.”
‘City on a Hill’ is averaging just over 3.5 million viewers per week when counting multiple viewing platforms for the series. The first season is scheduled to come to a conclusion on August 18.
The second season of ‘City on a Hill’ is expected to go into production later this year with a debut date sometime in 2020.
