Clu Gulager — a veteran actor with more than 160 credits on his resume — has died at the age of 93.
Gulager passed away due to natural causes according to his family.
Perhaps best known for his work in many popular horror films, Gulager got his start in acting all the way back in 1955 where he began making numerous appearances on television including series such as ‘Wanted: Dead or Alive,’ ‘Laramie’ and ‘The Deputy.’
In 1985, Gulager starred in arguably two of his most recognizable roles when he played Burt in “Rewind of the Living Dead” — a horror-comedy spawned from the mind of Dan O’Bannon, who many know as the writer behind the original “Alien” film.
He then starred as Mr. Walsh in “Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge” where he played the father to Mark Patton’s character Jesse Walsh.
Gulager continued acting regularly in film and television all the way until 2019 when he made his final appearance in the Quentin Tarantino feature “Once Upon a Time … In Hollywood” when he played a book store owner who interacts with Sharon Tate as played by Margot Robbie.
Gulager is survived by his two sons, John and Tom Gulager.
