A famed “Karate Kid Part III” villain will be returning in “Cobra Kai” season 4 as Thomas Ian Griffith has been confirmed to reprise his role as Terry Silver…
A man can’t stand he can’t fight. A man can’t breathe he can’t fight. A man can’t see he can’t fight. Extreme situations require extreme measures.
Those are the words echoed by Cobra Kai co-founder Terry Silver in “The Karate Kid III” as he manipulated Daniel Larusso to bend to his will in order to gain vengeance on the All-Valley champion after he essentially put an end to his friend John Kreese’s business.
Now Terry Silver is back.
With production on “Cobra Kai” season 4 officially wrapped, Thomas Ian Griffith has been announced for his return to the franchise as he will reprise his role as the venomous Terry Silver when the show returns to Netflix.
“Since the beginning of the series, we’ve been carefully orchestrating the right moment to unleash Cobra Kai dojo co-founder Terry Silver back into the universe,” executive producers and writers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg said in a statement. “That moment is now. We can’t wait for the whole world to experience Thomas Ian Griffith’s majestic return to the franchise.”
Terry Silver’s return was previously teased during “Cobra Kai” season 3, which featured flashbacks to the time he served in Vietnam alongside Kreese. After the soldiers were captured by enemy forces it was Kreese who orchestrated an escape while simultaneously saving Terry’s life during the battle.
At the end of the season, Kreese makes a call to an old friend while staring at a photo where he was standing alongside the president of Dynatox Industries. Now it’s confirmed that Terry Silver will be making his presence known during “Cobra Kai” season 4 as his old dojo continues to battle with former foe Daniel Larusso as well as ex-student Johnny Lawrence.
While filming has wrapped on “Cobra Kai” season 4, there’s no word yet when the show will return to Netflix. For now, enjoy the teaser featuring Griffith’s return as Terry Silver.
