The episode synopsis for the first three parts of the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover have been revealed including a return to “Smallville”…

A crisis is coming and the first real details about the massive crossover event have been revealed.

Starting in December, the five-part “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover will begin with three episodes of “Supergirl”, “Batwoman” and “The Flash” kicking off the most ambitious event in the history of the CW Arrowverse.

The final two parts will then debut in January with “Arrow” and “Legends of Tomorrow” but unlike past crossover events, “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is being treated as one giant movie chopped up into five separate parts rather than character-centric episodes that have been the focus in the past.

The CW has now released episode details for the first three parts of the crossover, which includes a return to “Smallville” where Tom Welling and Erica Durance will reprise their roles as Clark Kent and Lois Lane while Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) is also returning during the huge event series as well.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will kick off on Sunday night, December 8 at 8 p.m. ET with “Supergirl” and then carry over to Monday night with “Batwoman” and then Tuesday night with “The Flash” before taking a month long hiatus before the final two parts debut in January. Here are the episode breakdowns for the first three parts of “Crisis on Infinite Earths”

SUPERGIRL

THE KICKOFF TO THE EPIC CROSSOVER EVENT
Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET

The Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) sends Harbinger (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) to gather the worlds’ greatest heroes – Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow, Batwoman, White Canary, The Atom and Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) – in preparation for the impending Crisis. With their worlds in imminent danger, the superheroes suit up for battle while J’onn and Alex recruit Lena to help them find a way to save the people of Earth-38.

BATWOMAN

CAN THE REAL CLARK KENT PLEASE STAND UP? ‘CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS’ CONTINUES WITH SPECIAL GUEST STARS TOM WELLING, ERICA DURANCE AND KEVIN CONROY
Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET

The group uses Ray’s invention to track new recruits to help save the universe. The Monitor sends Iris, Clark and Lois (guest star Elizabeth Tulloch) in search of a mysterious Kryptonian, while Kate and Kara head out to find Bruce Wayne (guest star Kevin Conroy). In addition, Mia challenges Sara, Rory discovers a hidden talent, and Lex Luthor (guest star Jon Cryer) returns.

THE FLASH

BLACK LIGHTNING JOINS THE ARROWVERSE IN THE THIRD CHAPTER OF THE CROSSOVER
Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET

Pariah (The Flash‘s Tom Cavanagh) enlists Black Lightning (guest star Cress Williams) to help stop the Anti-Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) after Flash-90 (guest star John Wesley Shipp) shares what he learned from his battle in “Elseworlds.” With the help of Black Lightning, Barry, Cisco and Killer Frost come up with a plan that could save them all. Meanwhile, Iris has a heart-to-heart with Ryan Choi (Legends of Tomorrow newcomer Osric Chau), while Oliver and Diggle return to an old, familiar stomping ground.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will then conclude on Tuesday, January 14 with back to back episodes of “Arrow” and “Legends of Tomorrow”. Stay tuned to Nerdcore Movement for all the news surrounding the huge crossover event including recaps of each episode.
