‘The Defenders’ will try to save New York City when Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist team up in the eight episode limited series debuting on Netflix this Summer.
On Tuesday, the first teaser for the series was released along with a clue to find out the debut date for the series. The website address led to a “New York Bulletin” landing page — the paper where Karen Page works — and at the very bottom was revealed ‘The Defenders’ debut on August 18 on Netflix.
The teaser featured all four Defenders in an elevator at Midland Circle Financial — a prominent business that’s been featured in nearly all four of the previous Marvel series on Netflix and clearly plays a role in the upcoming series.
We know that Sigourney Weaver will play the big bad going up against The Defenders, but we don’t know her exact role or what she’ll be doing to oppose them.
