Tom Hiddleston will return to his role as Loki for a new series coming to the Disney+ streaming service in 2019…
The god of mischief is back.
Tom Hiddleston will return to play Loki once again for a new series planned at the upcoming Disney streaming service called Disney+ that will launch in late 2019.
Rumors have swirled for weeks that Hiddleston was going to return as Loki for a special series that was planned for the new Disney streaming service as they continue to plan for more and more original programming to attract viewers to join.
Marvel Studios will be developing the series rather than Marvel Television, which means Kevin Feige will have some kind of hand in the final product that’s produced for the new series.
Hiddleston has portrayed Loki in several films including ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, which opened earlier this year.
There’s no word yet on what story will be told in the new Loki series much less who will be involved in writing or show running the series but it’s definitely coming as Hiddleston returns to his most famous role.
The new Disney+ streaming service will launch late next year with plans for at least two ‘Star Wars’ series already in the works as well as persistent rumors than another Marvel series based around Elizabeth Olsen’s character the Scarlet Witch will also get her own show similar to the one being developed around Loki.
