“Dune: Part Two” won’t be releasing in November as scheduled with the highly anticipated sequel now pushed back until 2024…
The highly anticipated sequel “Dune: Part Two” will no longer be released in November as originally scheduled.
Sadly, the upcoming film from director Denis Villenueve will have to wait until March 15, 2024 to land in theaters with Warner Bros. pushing back the movie as the writers and actors’ strikes continue. “Dune: Part Two” was originally slated for release in November but concerns over promoting the film obviously made the studio decided to push back the film to a later date.
“Dune: Part One” was a surprise success taking home over $402 million at the box office while also earning 10 Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay from Frank Herbert’s original novel.
The sequel will continue the story of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) as he seeks revenge on House Harkonnen, who orchestrated an attack on his family that left his father dead and sent him and his mother into hiding. The ambitious second film will be even bigger in scope with a massive cast, which includes Christopher Walking as Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh playing his daughter Princess Irulan and Austin Butler as the deadly Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen — the youngest nephew to Baron Harkonnen and planned successor following the end of his reign.
The first trailer for “Dune: Part Two” has already been released, which you can see below, but you’ll have to wait until March 2024 to actually see the epic conclusion to this story.
